Comic scribe pegged to help Todd Lincoln adapt alien graphic novel The Nye Incidents

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Back in June I told you all about a project heading our way from director Todd Lincoln and RKO called THE NYE INCIDENTS. It’s actually a big screen adaptation of the graphic novel series from co-creator Whitley Strieber and Devil’s Due. Ringing any bells?

Well back in June we were informed that RKO were actively looking for a writer to help Lincoln adapt this puppy for the big screen, and according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision blog it seems RKO have found their man! So who’s the lucky guy? Comic scribe and new-found screenwriter Stuart Paul, that’s who! Sure it’s nothing worth writing home about but we’re going to roll with it anyway.

Set in the world of alien abductees, THE NYE INCIDENTS centers on a seen-it-all and logical medical examiner whose faith in the rational is shattered when she runs afoul a brutal murder of a supposed alien abductee. The case puts her on the path chasing a serial killer working in the alien abductee community who may or may not be human.

I think it’s safe to assume production on THE NYE INCIDENTS will kick off as soon as the script is finished, which shouldn’t take too long. As always as soon as we hear more from the project you can bet we’ll be right here passing the good word along to all of you.
