Cryptic Twin Peaks marketing popping up around the world...

03.22.2017by: Mike Sprague

We are a little less than two months away from TWIN PEAKS revival series premiering on Showtime with a two-part premiere on Sunday, May 21 at 9 p.m. As with any production, it is time for the publicity department to kick into gear; for all those three people who aren't already counting down the days till we travel back to the peaks.

A few weeks ago there were reports of familiar-looking missing posters popping up on the streets of Australia - with a phone number attached to them... When you called the number a short, pre-recorded message begins...

You can listen to the full message HERE.

Now the promo team has moved stateside and strange billboards have begun popping up...

Spooky. Mysterious. David. Lynch. I cannot wait for this series to finally hit off. I'm ready for more pie, dammit.

Here is a rundown on the series via Showtime:

Immediately following the premiere on SHOWTIME, subscribers will have access to the third and fourth parts, exclusively across the SHOWTIME streaming service, SHOWTIME ANYTIME® and SHOWTIME ON DEMAND®. In its second week, TWIN PEAKS will air the third and fourth parts back-to-back on SHOWTIME on May 28, starting at 9 p.m. ET/PT, followed by single parts in subsequent weeks.

Directed entirely by David Lynch, the new SHOWTIME 18-part limited event series picks up 25 years after the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town were stunned when their homecoming queen Laura Palmer was shockingly murdered.

The cast includes Kyle MacLachlan, Sheryl Lee, Sherilyn Fenn, Dana Ashbrook, Madchen Amick, Miguel Ferrer, David Patrick Kelly, Richard Beymer, Mark Frost, Frost's father Warren Frost, Ray Wise, Grace Zabriskie, Peggy Lipton, Everett McGill, Wendy Robie, James Marshall, Al Strobel, Kimmy Robertson, Harry Goaz, Charlotte Stewart, Gary Hershberger, Jan D'Arcy, Harry Dean Stanton, Catherine E. Coulson, Amanda Seyfried, Peter Sarsgaard, Balthazar Getty, Robert Knepper, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Bailey Chase, Laura Dern, Robert Forster, Naomi Watts, Tom Sizemore, Grant Goodeve, Larry Clarke, Caleb Landry Jones, James Belushi, Ashley Judd, Jessica Szohr, and Lynch himself.
