Epic Pictures Group is preparing for the DAY OF RECKONING, a bonkers action fantasy from BIG ASS SPIDER screenwriter Gregory Gieras and GOD'S SLAVE director Joel Novoa. The film will star Jackson Hurst (Drop Dead Diva) and Heather McComb (Ray Donovan), and it seems like it might just pack as much of a silly punch as Mike Mendez's spider opus.
The story is set in Los Angeles 15 years after the world suffered a horrendous disaster when demon-like-creatures invaded Earth and nearly destroyed mankind. Hurst plays mediocre husband and father David Shepperd, who tries to save his family when the demon creatures return to wreak havoc.
Hana Hayes (The Grinder), Jay Jay Warren, Raymond Barry (Justified, The 100), Nick Gomez (The Walking Dead), Randy Vasquez (BEVERLY HILLS COP), and genre stalwart Barbara Crampton co-star. Filming commences this week in Los Angeles.
