It seems there’s this post-apocalyptic anthology coming our way out of Korea that has been turning some heads as of late. After hearing about this little diddy I decided there was only one logical thing to do – come tell all of you about it!
The project, titled DOOMSDAY BOOK, is coming at us from Zio Entertainment and the directing duo of Kim Jee-Woon and Yim Pil-Sung. It stars Kim Kang-Woo, Kim Gyu-Ri (below), Ryoo Seung-Bum, and Song Sae-Byeok. We’ve got somewhat of a rundown for you guys as well as a trailer for this thing. First, the synopsis:
First Chapter (“Heaven’s Creation”) – A story about a robot who gains consciousness and the absurdity that follows.
Second Chapter (“The New Generation”) – A clever action film told from the point of view of a boy who has become a zombie, this segment explores how humans lose control of planet Earth, becoming mere food for a different species.
Third Chapter (“The Christmas Gift”) – A musical movie that re-interprets the beautiful love story “The Christmas Gift” by O Henry, this project confronts the basic instincts of a woman and her last chance to survive after witnessing the end of the world.

Unfortunately there’s no telling when this one will be released but you can bet we’ll be keeping our eyes and ears open for more on DOOMSDAY BOOK. As soon as any other details are released we’ll be right here telling you about them.
