First some stills & now a look at the trailer for Tom Tykwer & The Wachowski’s Cloud Atlas

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

Just yesterday we were finally treated to some new looks at The Wachowski’s and Tom Tykwer’s CLOUD ATLAS. Sure it was only a couple of shots and neither were anything worth writing home about, but it’s nice to see some goods from this one finally spilling through.

That continues today with the release of the first trailer for CLOUD ATLAS in all of it’s highly anticipated glory! There’s really no reason to beat around the bush with this one. Check that shite out directly below or tap it over in our videos section. Did I mention it was five minutes long?! Oh yeah!

Six nested stories that take us from the remote South Pacific in the nineteenth century to a distant, post-apocalyptic future. Each tale is revealed to be a story that is read (or watched) by the main character in the next. All stories but the last one get interrupted at some moment, and after the sixth story concludes at the center of the book, the novel “goes back” in time, “closing” each story as the book progresses in terms of pages but regresses in terms of the historical period in which the action takes place. Eventually, readers end where they started, with Adam Ewing in the Pacific Ocean, circa 1850.

CLOUD ATLAS’ outstanding cast includes Tom Hanks, Halle Berry (below), Jim Broadbent, Susan Sarandon, Hugo Weaving, Ben Winshaw, Jim Sturgess and Keith David. This little diddy is expected to drop into theaters on October 26th so expect a lot more ATLAS updates as we near that date.
