I have to admit; with everything I have seen from [REC] 3 GENESIS I am inclined to think this will be a solid film. Spain sure has a way with the genre, and I do believe that country has produced some of the best pure horror films of the last few years.
Some new pictures have shown up for the film, and they are all pretty solid and give us a nice little look into the film. It certainly looks great on a visual level; I look forward to seeing what director Paco Plaza has done with this.
The film will hit screens in Spain on March 30th, as for the US no release has been set yet, but Magnolia Pictures do own the theatrical rights. For the DVD release, we can look towards Sony Home Entertainment for those details in due time.
Koldo and Clara are about to celebrate the most important day of their lives: their wedding. Everything appears to be running smoothly and the bride and groom and their families are enjoying a wonderful day; that is until some of the guests start showing signs of a strange illness. Before they know what’s happening, the bride and groom find themselves in the middle of a hellish ordeal, as an uncontrollable torrent of violence is unleashed on the wedding. Amidst the chaos, Koldo and Clara become separated and begin a desperate search for one another. What started off as an idyllic day quickly descends into a nightmare of the worst kind…
The film stars Leticia Dolera, Diego Martin, Javier Botet, Alex Monner, Ismael Martinez, Mireia Ros and Itziar Castro.
