Insomnifest change

Within the last month or so I’ve been keeping you all updated with the online film festival titled Insomnifest, coming from the guys over at Slasher Pool.

Well a couple weeks ago I thought I was giving you all the last update, fortunately I was wrong. Or unfortunately, however you want to look at it.

The last update I gave you included the double feature of DARA and ANNOYED: TERROR TRANSLATED. Well said double feature has been dropped from the festival. Instead it’s picked up BACKWOODS BLOODBATH: CURSE OF THE BLACK HODAG.

Relax folks, don’t judge yet. BACKWOODS BLOODBATH is a good ol american B horror movie. And from the looks of the trailer, they’re giving us exactly what we want in one. Loads of women, loads of blood, and a badass villan. I’m definately down. You can check the trailer out below.

The synopsis for BLOODBATH reads: In 1877, a fierce creature, known as Bovinus Spiritualis (the Black Hodag) was discovered in the northern woods of Oneida County, Wisconsin. To this day, locals whisper of the Black Forest, and the curse of the creature that dwells within. “Backwoods Bloodbath” is an old school horror-gore flick about six friends who take a road trip to a back country town where a local legend has been feeding off the population for decades, only to find themselves becoming the latest items on the creature’s menu.

Insomnifest is the first ever online horror film festival and will be broadcasted for the entire world to view over a two week period in February of 2008 at www.insomnifest.com. The festival will take place between the 11th of February and the 24th of February. We will be showing twelve horror flicks from all over the world and several of them will be world premieres.
