Is there already Season 2 talk for ABC’s horror series “666 Park Avenue?!”

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

Just yesterday Eric hit us all with the premiere date for ABC’s highly anticipated genre series “666 Park Avenue.” Alright… maybe it’s not that highly-anticipated, but you get the picture.

Now while that’s all fine and dandy today we have word coming in from The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed blog that there are already plans in place for a “666 Park Avenue” Season 2! Come on… at least let the damned thing debut first!

While at the Television Critics Association press tour “666 Park Avenue” creator/executive producer David Wilcox let loose the following:

“We have a pitch for season two. [Myself and the writing staff are] writing season [one] with a very specific plan.”

Now THR even mentions a couple of the stars that are already planned to return for Season 2 but I won’t post the names considering that’s some pretty spoiler-ific territory. Wilcox didn’t stop there though. He also spoke about how much gore will be in the show and it’s tone. Check it:

“We don’t have the tool of gore and blood and that kind of spectacle. It’s forced us to be clever.”

“There are people who love to see blood and murder and mayhem and there are other shows on cable that have that freedom to do that. For us, it’s a psychological horror. It’s driven by suspense, it’s driven by mystery.”

“We want things to be off the nose. We’re not interested in creating a formula for the show. We want to create a mythology that is very rich. No one is going to say ‘devil’ or ‘deal of the devil.’ That’s a different type of show.”

Executive Producer Matthew Miller adds: “…the idea is to give in every episode .. both parts of the title[: some 666 and some Park Avenue.] The way we’re going to structure the majority of the [episodes] are [that there] will be slightly serialized elements and we’ll explore [different] residents.”

So there you have it folks! I don’t know about you guys but after today’s update I’m definitely more intrigued by “666 Park Avenue” than I was previously. What says you? Spit some bullets below and let us know how you’re jiving with the upcoming genre series!

At the ominous address of 666 Park Avenue, anything you desire can be yours. Everyone has needs, desires and ambition. For the residents of The Drake, these will all be met, courtesy of the building’s mysterious owner, Gavin Doran. But every Faustian contract comes with a price.

When Jane Van Veen and Henry Martin, an idealistic young couple from the Midwest, are offered the opportunity to manage the historic building, they not only fall prey to the machinations of Doran and his mysterious wife, Olivia, but unwittingly begin to experience the shadowy, supernatural forces within the building that imprison and endanger the lives of the residents inside.

Set to hit ABC on September 30th, “666 Park Avenue” stars Rachael Taylor (below), Terry O’Quinn, Vanessa Williams, Dave Annable, Mercedes Masohn, Robert Buckley, Helena Mattsson and Erik Palladino. I’m sure we’ll be treated to more goods from this shite within the next couple months so you can bet we’ll keep our eyes and ears open.
