James Franco thriller The Institute reaches theatres and VOD March 3rd

I’m not sure how James Franco finds the time to do all the things he does, but in just a week and a half the actor (who we saw earlier today in the ALIEN: COVENANT prologue) has another movie coming out. It’s called THE INSTITUTE, and in addition to playing a lead role in the film Franco also co-directed it with Pamela Romanowsky.

Scripted by Matt and Adam Rager and set in 19th century Balitmore, THE INSTITUTE is based on true events, telling the story of 

Isabel Porter who, stricken with grief from her parents’ untimely death, voluntarily checks herself into the Rosewood Institute.  Subjected to bizarre and increasingly violent pseudo-scientific experiments in personality modification, brainwashing and mind control, she must escape the clutches of the Rosewood and exact her revenge, or else be forever lost.

Allie Gallerani plays Isabel. She and Franco are joined in the cast by Tim Blake Nelson, Lori Singer, Eric Roberts, and Scott Haze.

Momentum Pictures will be releasing THE INSTITUTE into a limited number of theatres on March 3rd. The film will be playing in the following cities:
