Lady Gaga is La Chameleon in Machete Kills, character poster here to prove it

Just when I was extolling MACHETE KILLS as having the finest female cast possibly EVER…here comes Lady Gaga to f*ck things up!

Yeah, weird, but Lady Gage has apparently joined the cast of MACHETE KILLS. Then again, come to think of how bizarre the casting has been thus for, I guess it isn’t all that outlandish. Still, as you can see in the accompanying character poster, Gaga is set to play La Chameleon in the exploitation send-up sequel.

Here’s what Robert Rodriguez said via Twitter:

“I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills , she kicked SO MUCH ASS! Holy Smokes. Blown away!”

The sequel finds the titular ex-federale recruited by the U.S. government to stop a terrorist named Mendez the Madman, who happens to be Mexico’s leading cartel dealer.

Danny Trejo, Mel Gibson, Charlie Sheen, Bill Sadler, Edward James Olmos, Demian Bechir, Amber Heard, Jessica Alba, Zoe Saldana, Alexa Vega, Michelle Rodriguez and the sexy Avellan twins are all onboard as well.
