I don't know about you guys but I dug the hell out of the original killer-croc flick LAKE PLACID starring Bill Pullman, Bridget Fonda, Oliver Platt, Brendan Gleeson, and Betty White. The film is an utter delight and I partake in a viewing any chance I get.
That said I have not seen any of the sequels. Not a one of them. All the same, I always hold out hope that one of the new entries will be even slightly as entertaining as the original, but so far (judging by word of mouth) no dice.
But that might all change soon here as we have word via IMDb and DC that there is an all-new LAKE PLACID flick on the way called, LAKE PLACID: LEGACY.
The film will be hitting us from the director of DRACULA 3000 (aka DRACULA IN SPACE) and has been shooting in South Africa this past December. And in a fun bit of trivia, this new movie will be coming our way via Blue Ice Pictures the same company that worked on DEEP BLUE SEA 2.

The film is directed by Darrell Roodt from a script by Johnathon Lloyd Walker and stars Katherine Barrell, Tim Rozon, Sai Bennett, Greg Kriek, Craig Stein, and Alisha Bailey.
LAKE PLACID: LEGACY is expected to premiere on SyFy this year.
