Mad Max: Fury Road rides onto DVD and Blu-ray on September 1st

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

It took me longer than expected to make it to the theatre to see MAD MAX: FURY ROAD back in May, but once I did I was treated to a mind-blowing spectacle of vehicular mayhem that may well be my favorite movie of the year. I can't wait to see it again, and to watch it over and over again. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has now announced the date when I can start doing so.

MAD MAX: FURY ROAD is set to be released on DVD, Blu-ray, and Blu-ray 3D on September 1st. The movie will be available on Digital HD as of August 11th.

Special features on the DVD and Blu-ray releases will include several featurettes:

Maximum Fury: Filming Fury Road

Mad Max: Fury on Four Wheels

The Road Warriors: Max and Furiosa

The Tools of the Wasteland

The Five Wives: So Shiny, So Chrome

Fury Road: Crash & Smash

Deleted Scenes

Director George Miller has said that he demanded there be a black & white version of the film on the Blu-ray as well as an isolated score track, but as you see, Warner Bros. did not list those as features. That's somewhat unfortunate, but their absence won't be stopping me from picking this one up.

The home video release of MAD MAX: FURY ROAD is available for pre-order on Amazon.

If you want to grab all four movies at once, Warner will also be releasing a Blu-ray set of the MAD MAX Anthology, although the street date for that has not yet been announced.
