More info drops for “American Horror Story” Season 2: Writers, director & start date!

With Comic-Con rolling on hot and heavy it seems there’s only one genre show that’s on everyone’s mind, and that’s “The Walking Dead.” Let’s not forget we’ve also got a brand new season of “American Horror Story” on the way! And thanks to the guys over at Bloody-Disgusting today we’ve got a little more detail on Season 2.

According to the site filming on “American Horror Story” Season 2 will officially get underway in just a couple days on July 17th in Los Angeles. Bradley Buecker will be returning to the world of “American Horror Story” and will be directing episodes 201 and 202. Tim Minear will be penning the season premiere while James Wong tackles episode 202. Not too shabby for a quick “American Horror Story” update, right?

The second season of the creepy Ryan Murphy/Brad Falchuk-created series is set in an East Coast mental institution in the 1960s.

The second season of “American Horror Story” will feature Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Joseph Fiennes, Chloe Sevigny (below), Adam Levine, James Cromwell and Lizzie Brochere when it returns to TV this Fall.
