More Scream 4 Ghostface mask talk plus another Wes Craven Twitter pic!

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

Can you believe we haven’t had a SCREAM 4 update since last month? Pretty shocking, right? I mean… It’s almost been two weeks! That seems like way too long to wait between SCREAM 4 updates. Well folks if you’re feeling the same way you can rest easy because we have a relatively boring SCREAM 4 update for you all today! But hey… at least it’s something, right?

First up we have a pretty juicy interview with the director of Licensing/Product Development of Fun World, R.J. Torbert. Now Fun World is of course the company that created the famous ‘Ghostface’ mask. So what did Torbert have to say regarding SCREAM? .. Lots! Torbert chatted about his history with the franchise and he even gives us a little tease of what we can expect in SCREAM 4:

“Getting back to the additional masks. They have them on set. We are in communication. Wes Craven does keep in touch. I don’t want to get sliced and diced and be a victim of Ghost Face®, but keep your eyes open. You may see them, you may not. Stay alert and you may even see more, who knows? This is fun, isn’t it? However, I want to be clear there has never been confirmation on how these masks were to be used or not used. It will be a mystery until the movie opens.”

Interesting. I don’t know about the rest of you but I’m absolutely against new ‘Ghostface’ masks. Keep the classic black and white ‘Ghostface.’ It works people. To check out the entire interview you can head right over HERE. Then, courtesy of Wes Craven’s Twitter account, you can check out the latest shot from the SCREAM 4 set below!

That’s right ladies and gents, Craven is teasing us with yet another shot from production. If you scroll below you can check out the latest picture, which sports Mr. Craven with a pretty vicious looking instrument, possibly an instrument we may be seeing ‘Ghostface’ use? Hmmm. Here’s the message Craven tagged with the pic: “Do you want to screw with me? Well, do ya punk?”

SCREAM 4 is currently trucking along looking at an April 15, 2011 release date. The film sees Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere (below), Rory Culkin, Nico Tortorella, Anthony Anderson, Marielle Jaffe, Marley Shelton, Alison Brie, Mary McDonnell and Erik Knudsen joining Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette in the franchise. Now we’re sure to have a lot more SCREAM updates heading our way in the coming months so keep it here for all your ‘Ghostface’ goods as we hear them!
