The Strangers: Prey at Night rated R for horror violence and terror

Earlier this month we shared with you guys the new trailer for the upcoming Johannes Roberts sequel to director Bryan Bertino’s home invasion classic THE STRANGERS.

Today we have the official MPAA rating for THE STRANGERS: PREY AT NIGHT.

The sequel has been rated R for “horror violence and terror throughout, and for language.” Which makes sense considering the original film was rated R for “violence/terror and language.”

THE STRANGERS: PREY AT NIGHT synopsis:

A family’s road trip takes a dangerous turn when they arrive at a secluded mobile home park to stay with some relatives and find it mysteriously deserted. Under the cover of darkness, three masked psychopaths pay them a visit to test the family’s every limit as they struggle to survive. Johannes Roberts directs this horror film inspired by the 2008 smash hit THE STRANGERS.

STRANGERS: PREY AT NIGHT is directed by Johannes Roberts from a script by Bryan Bertino and Ben Ketai and stars Christina Hendricks, Martin Henderson, Bailee Madison and Lewis Pullman.

The film hits March 9, 2018.
