During the COVID-19 lockdown, the Women in Horror Facebook page has been hosting viewing parties of genre films and sometimes getting people involved with the movies to watch along with them. Tonight, March 31st, at 8pm Eastern, they will be hosting a viewing of THE STRANGERS: PREY AT NIGHT – and for this event they're going to be joined by the film's director Johannes Roberts, as well as cast member Damian Maffei, who plays the Man in the Mask.
During this "free horror streaming event", Roberts and Maffei will be participating in a live Q&A.
Directed by Johannes Roberts from a screenplay by Ben Ketai and original THE STRANGERS writer/director Bryan Bertino, THE STRANGERS: PREY AT NIGHT has the following synopsis:
A family’s road trip takes a dangerous turn when they arrive at a secluded mobile home park to stay with some relatives and find it mysteriously deserted. Under the cover of darkness, three masked psychopaths pay them a visit to test the family’s every limit as they struggle to survive.
Maffei's co-stars include Christina Hendricks, Martin Henderson, Bailee Madison, Lewis Pullman, Emma Bellomy, and Lea Enslin.
THE STRANGERS: PREY AT NIGHT has a special place in my heart because I got to spend a night on the set back in June of 2017, plus I really like the '80s throwback style Roberts brought to it. I'm interested to see how the Facebook Q&A will go tonight.
