New horror anthology on the way with the insanely twisted Profane Exhibit

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

One part of our genre that I’m sure most of you are big fans of are the horror anthologies out there. Sure there’s a lot of them floating around, but only a handful are worth remembering… if that! So when news crosses our paths on yet another horror anthology heading our way, well it should go without saying that we’re going to be pretty cautious about this. Let’s not let our guards down, eh?

The project I’m getting at is something called THE PROFANE EXHIBIT and truth be told I’m already feeling pretty dirty because of this one. Apparently the anthology will be made up of ten different parts, each with a different director. Luckily for us three of those directors have already been announced!

The first names attached to this little diddy are AUGUST UNDERGROUND’S MORDUM’s Michael Todd Schneider, LIVE FEED’s Ryan Nicholson and PHILOSOPHY OF A KNIFE’s Andrey Iskanov. Now I’ve yet to catch any of those features but from what I hear they’re pretty tapped! Doesn’t surprise me one bit. So you want to know what these guys will be tackling right? Right. Check it:

Schneider will be working on a segment called MANNA, which stars AmberLynn Walker and Madeleine Horn (below). Autumn Cook and Jerami Cruise will be responsible for the FX on this one.

Nicholson’s contribution will be something called GOOD WIFE, which has a cast that includes Dan Ellis, Monique Parent and Tina Krause. cEvin Key of Skinny Puppy will be scoring.

And lastly Iskanov’s project is called TOCHKA, which will be scored by Scott Putesky of Marilyn Manson and Jack Off Jill.

Unfortunately the rundown for these chapters hasn’t been released but we do have the teaser art you see above and the flick’s official Facebook page. So you’re going to probably want to check that out.

THE PROFANE EXHIBIT has a release date of May 2012 already pegged so we should expect a lot more details on this one soon.
