We won’t be seeing Carrie White ruining high schools biggest night for everyone until October 18th, but we have a look at the titular character from Kimberly Peirce’s highly anticipated remake of the Stephen King classic CARRIE today, which you can check out below.

Popular UK magazine Empire shared the below pic with their readers in the latest edition of thier magazine, showing a bloodied and dazed Chloe Grace Moretz walking through the streets of Chamberlain, Maine after wrecking shop at the prom.

The quiet suburb of Chamberlain, Maine is home to the deeply religious and conservative Margaret White and her daughter Carrie.  Carrie is a sweet but meek outcast whom Margaret has sheltered from society.  Gym teacher Miss Desjardin tries in vain to protect Carrie from local mean girls led by the popular and haughty Chris Hargenson, but only Chris’ best friend, Sue Snell, regrets their actions. In an effort to make amends, Sue asks her boyfriend, high school heartthrob Tommy Ross, to take Carrie to prom. Pushed to the limit by her peers at the dance, Carrie unleashes telekinetic havoc.

Julianne Moore, Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday, Gabriella Wilde and Ansel Elgort co-star in the new adaptation of the Stephen King novel, previously adapted for the screen by Lawrence D. Cohen and helmed by Brian De Palma in 1976, and again for television in 2002 from David Carson.  The Kimberly Peirce-directed film opens October 18th.
