New poster and image for vampire comedy What We Do in the Shadows

Last Updated on July 22, 2021

The much talked about vampire mockumentary from Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS, was recently snatched up for US distribution by The Orchard and Unison Films, and now we have a very cool new poster and still to share with you guys. Although this is a comedy, and apparently a "hilarious" one at that, that's one freaky-as-shit looking vampire right there. I love the Count Orlok-inspired design, who I think is still the scariest bloodsucker to ever grace the screen. Watch the trailer for WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS right here if you missed it!

The synopsis:

Follow the lives of Viago (Taika Waititi), Deacon (Jonathan Brugh), and Vladislav (Jemaine Clement) – three flatmates who are just trying to get by and overcome life's obstacles-like being immortal vampires who must feast on human blood. Hundreds of years old, the vampires are finding that beyond sunlight catastrophes, hitting the main artery, and not being able to get a sense of their wardrobe without a reflection-modern society has them struggling with the mundane like paying rent, keeping up with the chore wheel, trying to get into nightclubs, and overcoming flatmate conflicts.

WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS is still waiting for a release date. It stars Clement, Waititi, Jonathon Brugh, Cori Gonzalez-Macuer, and Stu Rutherford.
