Remember a couple weeks back when we brought you some exclusive stills from Simon Fellow’s wacked out fantasy thriller MALICE IN WONDERLAND? Can’t recall? No worries, find them shites HERE. Obviously a play on Lewis Carroll’s classic tale of Alice, but did you know two film versions of MALICE IN WONDERLAND were made back in the mid-80s? One, an animated short, the other a live action comedy. Well, you can bet your chapped hide Simon’s version is a remake of neither, as clearly shown in the trippy trailer below!
Penned by Jayson Rothwell, MALICE IN WONDERLAND revolves around An American law student in London. Knocked down by a black cab, she wakes with amnesia in a world that’s a million miles from home – Wonderland. We follow her adventures as she’s dragged through an underworld filled with twisted individuals and the lowest low-lifers, by the enigmatic cab driver, Whitey. She needs to find out who she is, where she’s from and use what wits she has left to get back home in one piece. As her journey progresses she discovers nothing is what it seems, realizes that fate and life are terminally entwined, and finds true love lurking in the unlikeliest place.
Maggie Grace (below), Danny Dyer, Matt King, Nathaniel Parker, Christopher Patterson, Bronagh Gallagher, Anthony Higgins, Steve Haze, Dave Lynn, Gary Beadle, Amanda Boxer, Garrick Hagon and Paul Kaye all take part in the film.
