The Skeptic poster

04.17.2009by: Ammon Gilbert

Today must be a day about haunted houses. Earlier we got early word on the upcoming haunted house flick THE BARGAIN (check that shite HERE), and now we have a glimpse at the hot new poster for THE SKEPTIC, another haunted house movie!

Considering the star power, I'm absolutely baffled as to how I've never heard of this movie until now, but damnit, that's the truth. THE SKEPTIC? What the hell is that? Lucky for you (and me), IMDb has the hook up:

After the mysterious death of his Aunt, a confirmed skeptic lawyer, Bryan Becket, dismisses reports that her house is haunted and moves in. Immediately occurrences begin he cannot explain. And beyond the occurrences there is something about the house which gnaws at Becket - some strange connection he senses he has with the house's past. Soon, the haunting turns personal, he hears voices suggesting clues to a deep mystery. He questions his sanity, seeks medical help, but instead finds assistance in a young psychic who immediately declares, "There's a very bad secret in this house." Together they embark on a terrifying journey to uncover the secret - a journey which leads them deep into the recesses of The Skeptic's own troubled mind.

I didn't even know there was such a thing as a skeptic lawyer, but as this movie proves... there is! Starring Tim Daly, Tom Arnold, and Zoe Saldana... again, why haven't we heard of this movie before? You would have thought there'd be more out there on THE SKEPTIC, but alas... there is not. This is it. A synopsis and a poster.

As far as this poster goes, it's your standard floating heads poster from the 90s, which is totally uninspired and lame. Hella lame. It's hard to tell whether this is a courtroom drama or a haunted house movie... oh wait, that's probably why they slapped the haunted house on the bottom there, so we weren't too confused. Blah...

Anyway, keep it here for more on THE SKEPTIC as we hear it, meanwhile enjoy the crappy new poster!

Co-star Zoe Saldana!
Extra Tidbit: Tim Daly has voiced Superman / Clark Kent on a number of animated movies, TV shows, and video games.
