The Walking Dead’s Glen Mazzara creates new production company

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

After seeing Glen Mazzara step down as showrunner of AMC’s THE WALKING DEAD, it has been a question as to what he would move onto next and now that question has been answered. 44 Strong Productions will mark Mazzara’s new production company. In case you’re wondering where the name came from, apparently he named it after his address in Brooklyn. It does have a pretty nice ring to it!

Fox Television Studios has just signed Mazzara to an overall deal where he will develop a variety of cable television projects for the studio under his new banner. Mazzara said:

I’ve had a long history with Fox Television Studios, and it feels good to set up shop at a studio that I respect and trust, especially with David leading the charge. FTVS is giving me the opportunity to develop my own projects and to shepherd other writers on their own shows. This is where I want to be, and I couldn’t ask for a better partner as I take the next step in my career.

Hopefully we see him tackle the horror genre once again because we’ve seen what Mazzara can do under a horror series like THE WALKING DEAD, and man is it good.
