Tom Hiddleston joins Tilda Swinton and John Hurt in vamp romance Only Lovers Left Alive

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

Here’s a project I had all but forgotten about: Jim Jarmusch’s vampire love story we last told you about in May of 2011. At the time, it was announced that Michael Fassbender, Tilda Swinton, John Hurt and ALICE IN WONDERLAND star Mia Wasikowska had all lined up to take part in the indie film, but today’s update on the flick brings news of a slight change.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tom Hiddleston (THOR, THE AVENGERS) has climbed aboard the flick. Additionally, it would appear as though Fassbender is no longer involved. Has Jarmusch swapped Magneto for Loki?

ONLY LOVERS LEFT ALIVE is described as an unusual love story between two vampires who have been in love for centuries.
Jarmusch (GHOST DOG: WAY OF THE SAMURAI) will shoot the film in western Germany later this year.
