“Walking Dead” creator Robert Kirkman talks Season 2

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

“The Walking Dead” Season 2 is currently filming in Atlanta, but we already knew that. We knew this already because of all the goods flying out of the production. Alright so far it’s only been a couple stills but still! So what “Walking Dead” goods do I have for you today?

How about a nice in-depth interview with “Walking Dead” creator Robert Kirkman? Would that be something you might be interested in? Damn right it is!

AMC are starting their on-set interviews once again with the start of production on Season 2. And first up is comic creator Robert Kirkman. The interview touches on several topics about Season 2 including the zombies, the comic fate of ‘Shane,’ Charlie Sheen and a number of other things.

“Oh yeah. I’ve seen a lot of the stuff that he’s been putting together, and I can just say that he’s definitely taking things to the next level. I used to joke when we were promoting the first season, I would say “These are the best zombies that you’ve ever seen because Greg Nicotero has perfected his craft, and if he goes and does a zombie movie next THOSE will be the best zombies you’ve ever seen.” And now I’m happy to say that The Walking Dead Season 2 zombies are the best zombies you’ve ever seen because that’s what Greg Nicotero is doing next. There are going to be some memorable comic book zombies here and there, and then a lot is just Greg going, “OK, what can you do to the human body?””

That’s just a hint of the interview. For the whole she-bang be sure to head on over to “The Walking Dead’s” blog page at AMC. “The Walking Dead” Season 2 is set to return to AMC this October with Andrew Lincoln, Sarah Wayne Callies (below) and the rest of the first season’s survivors.
