Want more Dredd? Help make it happen!

We've proclaimed our love for the ultra-badass DREDD 3D several times in the past and, like many of you, have been vocal about wanting to see a sequel. We're not alone, fans…DREDD himself, Karl Urban, has been keeping the fight for another film alive and, as we recently shared, has been adamant that fans help take up the fight and be active in the campaign to see a sequel made. And now you can make your voice heard!

At Comic-Con this weekend, Urban told fans that he hoped strong DVD and Blu-Ray sales could encourage Lionsgate to greenlight a sequel, saying that…

"the more people that campaign for it, the more people that email, Twitter and write into Lionsgate and say 'we want to see more of this,' then the more likelihood that we'll get to see that."

Now Rebellion, owners of DREDD and the anthology he appears in, "2000AD", have launched an online campaign focused around a Facebook page and petition – "the only OFFICIAL petition," it explains – to try and force the issue. So far, more than 10,000 people have signed the petition to date, with more than 30,000 people liking the Facebook page. As our very own The Arrow put it, DREDD is "a no BS, action driven, stylish and violent as f*ck action/sci-fi film that kept on delivering the goods", and we just don't see enough films like that anymore. We NEED a sequel to DREDD and we need it soon!
