See ya, Helen McCrory! In a significant bit of casting news for HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX, the part of Death Eater Bellatrix Lestrange, for which McCrory was originally set, is now going to Helena Bonham Carter. The "official" reason for McCory's departure from the project is that the expecting actress would be too "pregnant" at the time her scenes are to be filmed. Methinks, however, it would be much cooler if this was just the end result of a knockdown, drag-out smackdown between Carter and McCrory and so, if you look above, I've imagined what that might look like for all of you. In other casting news for the film, Apple Brook has been cast as Professor Grubbly-Plank (and I just found a great name for my next pet), Jason Piper is Bane the Centaur, and the roles of the younger versions of Sirius, Lupin, and Snape have been filled by James Walters, James Utichen, and Alec Hopkins, respectively. I'm only a moderate Potter fan (have seen the movies, haven't read the books) but, from what I've heard, the original choice of McCrory for Bellatrix pleased a lot of people. What does everyone think of Carter taking over the role?

I have no idea who she is either, but Carter is a great choice for the role. No complaints about the switch here.
