Variety is reporting that Adrianne Palicki has signed on as the female lead in COFFEE TOWN, the first film from humor site CollegeHumor. As befitting the site it will be an R-rated comedy, written and directed by Brad Copeland ("Arrested Development") in his feature film debut. The film will star Glenn Howerton, best known as Dennis from "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia", and be about three thirty-something friends who band together when their freeloading existence is threatened.

Palicki will play Becca, a coffee-loving nurse who Howerton's character has a crush on.

She's a great actress but I haven't seen her in any comedies, so it will be interesting to see her compete with Howerton, who's absolutely hysterical in "Always Sunny." (Particularly that last season, which has taken some truly dark turns). Hoping this is his breakout role, much like his coworker Charlie Day had with HORRIBLE BOSSES last year.

Ricky Van Veen is producing and Ben Schwartz, Steve Little and Josh Groban will co-star, with production set to begin next week in LA.

Palicki will appear next in G.I. JOE: RETALIATION as Lady Jaye, and then fight some more in the upcoming RED DAWN remake with Chris Hemsworth.

Huge Always Sunny Fan

Could play the quote game until the end of time. I've been curious as to when Howerton might try his hand at features. I follow him on Twitter and he keeps in touch with his fans pretty regularly, but never really talks about his career.

This said, I hope Always Sunny's genius is recognized in its prime. You have a trio of characters that are: Charlie- a delusional and perhaps schizophrenic homeless guy, Mac- A man with extreme body and self esteem issues that covers with machismo, and

This said, I hope Always Sunny's genius is recognized in its prime. You have a trio of characters that are: Charlie- a delusional and perhaps schizophrenic homeless guy, Mac- A man with extreme body and self esteem issues that covers with machismo, and Dennis- A sexual deviant, sadist and most likely a serial rapist. Add to this Danny DeVito's genius work as Frank- a man that has thrown away his entire life to live "on the fringe" and in the gutter, and loves every second of it. The role of his lifetime. This is a COMEDY. It never gets any award recognition, but I truly believe that if it were on HBO or the BBC we would never hear the end of its praise. End of non sequitur.

THE IMPLICATIONS!!

Howerton is great on Sunny. He definitely gives Dennis a dark side that could be developed into a serious role. Glad to this see him branching out from philly like Charlie is. I'm glad these guys are starting to get the recogination they deserve but at the same time I know it means philly will end soon

Glenn for sure had a great year for this season, and hope he gets more roles, or just the whole cast in general be in more films
