Arnold Schwarzenegger feels old in the latest clip from The Last Stand

How cool is it to see Arnold Schwarzenegger back in action? I’m sure that many of you are ready to see him back in the role of CONAN. I was reminded of how much I missed Schwarznegger the action star when I watched LAST ACTION HERO over the weekend. That’s definitely one of my favorites. Why it catches so much shit I will never understand. To each his own, I guess.

A clip has surfaced for THE LAST STAND via MTV. It’s a quick one, but serves as a reminder as to why Schwarzenegger is the man. There’s also a short peek at Jaimie Alexander, who plays the role of fellow officer, Sarah Torrance. Here we see Schwarzenegger as Sheriff Ray Owens in a bit of a tense situation as he’s being fired upon. The outcome is quite comical and classic.

Check out the clip below.

Synopsis: Action icon Arnold Schwarzenegger makes his much-anticipated return to the big screen in Korean director Kim Jee-woon’s hard-hitting US directorial debut, THE LAST STAND. After leaving his LAPD narcotics post following a bungled operation that left him wracked with remorse and regret, Sheriff Ray Owens (Schwarzenegger) moved out of Los Angeles and settled into a life fighting what little crime takes place in sleepy border town Sommerton Junction. But that peaceful existence is shattered when Gabriel Cortez (Eduardo Noriega), the most notorious, wanted drug kingpin in the western hemisphere, makes a deadly yet spectacular escape from an FBI prisoner convoy. With the help of a fierce band of lawless mercenaries led by the icy Burrell (Peter Stormare), Cortez begins racing towards the US-Mexico border at 250 mph in a specially-outfitted Corvette ZR1 with a hostage in tow.

Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Forest Whitaker, Peter Stormare, Genesis Rodriguez, Jaimie Alexander, Harry Dean Stanton, Rodrigo Santoro, Eduardo Noriega, and Johnny Knoxville, THE LAST STAND hits theaters on January 18, 2013.
