If there's one recently released movie that absolutely deserves a 1980s style trailer, it's George Miller's MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, and the fine folks over at Playback Collective have done just that. Featuring the song "Vengeance" by the Australian electronic/synthwave band Power Glove, the trailer isn't as amazeballs as the official ones for Miller's masterpiece (seriously, the MAD MAX: FURY ROAD marketing team deserves all the awards), but it's still a fun 80s take on the critically acclaimed film.

MAD MAX: FURY ROAD is now at $280 million worldwide, and with any luck (and a few more strong weeks at the box office), Playback Collective will be back with a 1980s trailer treatment for the sequel.

Definitely not mediocre!

Brings back so many childhood memories. Watching this style of trailer. That's why I enjoyed Grindhouse so much even if it was a bit long winded.

Also, there is some crazy directions MM: The Wasteland can go into. In fact, I would not be 100% sold on Furiosa coming back. So much more to explore in the world of Max. It's a shame it hasn't been found among the masses yet and made its' billion that some of the other shlockey, yet mindless-popcorn, films we've seen already this

Something tells me it may become one of the biggest blu-ray sellers of all-time, especially if Miller adds in those other versions being kicked around.
Or maybe, I'm just rambling incoherently again because I'm in grading mode...

I was thinking that Furiosa will definitely not be back. That's kind of the Mad Max M.O. Tell a story, then move on to a new story with new characters, with Max himself being the only real link. I think that's what awesome about it.

Is it just me or are these the same people who did the Captain America 80's trailer.

I dont know how this wont get a sequel. It will double its money worldwide by this weekend, and home video sales are going to be through the roof. I'd say it'll bring in $330 mil worldwide BO and another $100 mil from home sales when all is said and done
