Cool Videos: This Marvel: Ultimate Alliance fan-made trailer is amazing!

04.28.2014

Although it's been a blast seeing so many comic book characters together in Marvel's films, many fans would love to see a fastball special with Wolverine and Hulk, Spidey battling Doctor Doom or Tony Stark working on a project with The Fantastic Four's Reed Richards. It's not going to happen any time soon (if ever) with different studios owning the big screen rights for a few Marvel characters. However SouperboyX from Youtube has created a very cool trailer for how he thinks a live-action Marvel: Ultimate Alliance movie might look like.

SouperboyX created the video using trailers and clips from multiple films featuring Marvel characters, including the upcoming X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. In my opinion he did an excellent job with the fake trailer, although the audio is a bit off occasionally. But overall, I really liked the trailer, and would obviously love a real Marvel: Ultimate Alliance movie. Can you imagine how big the budget would be for it though? Woof.

SouperboyX also created a snazzy poster a few weeks earlier that inspired him to make the trailer, which you can check out below the video.

Take a look:

Oh my god. I had to lift my jaw off the floor. That was amazing! I'm pretty sure if Marvel Studios, Twentieth Century Fox and Sony Pictures make a deal, combine all their characters to bring a true Ultimate Marvel Team-Up film, the box office would be tremendous. I'm thinking it might even surpass The Avengers' worldwide box office gross. I guess we could at least dream!

My question is; Does this basically show that the plots and characters of all superhero movies are essentially interchangeable?
You stick a bunch of big, messy superhero movies together and the plot doesn't seem any more or less incoherent.
Doesn't seem like Fox has any plans to work the X-Men and Fantastic Four into the same cinematic space, which they theoretically could... Maybe these giant character crossovers are best left as comic events and cleverly edited fan trailers.

How would a movie like this actually play out for real? Will it be 24 hours long...or would each character get about 2 minutes of screen time? Don't get me wrong...I'd watch a 24 hour movie if it was this ;o)

it would be a trilogy, only each part would be its own trilogy.

Looks ok.

Although I would've put in a number of others and make this Marvel Secret Wars or The Infinity Gauntlet if you're putting in Thanos, Surfer and Guardians.

Split the friggan profits!

Why can't a movie like this be make and just have the 3 movie studios split the profits? Then EVERYONE makes out.

maybe in an ideal world. but from a business perspective, it makes no sense for marvel to play with the other studios. they made 1.5 billion on the Avengers by themselves. if they teamed up with Sony and Fox to make the ultimate fanboy superhero movie, it still wouldn't break 4 billion (i mean, that's an unreasonably high number). so even if they reached the impossibly high 4 billion mark, split three ways, they're still making less than they would have on their own.

From watching this fan-made trailer I came to the conclusion that I remember nothing from the Fantastic Four movies. And I own the first one on DVD.

Ever since Fury showed up at Stark's house, this is what Iíve been wanting to see, I just cant understand that the studio honcho's donít realize that they can still make a shitload of money by giving the fans what they really want to see! I They should send this trailer to each and every studio out there, and maybe, just maybe one day we will get to see something like this. I'm a naÔeve fucker, who still hasnt given up hope...

That was pretty cool.

If this were to ever happen, it would probably be the biggest comic book film of all time and one that we will never see unfortunately.
