Strike Back below!

I've been kinda down on Adam Sandler and his shenanigans for a while now but it's not due to an innate hatred of his comedy. The dude was brilliant on SNL and, let's face it, BILLY MADISON was comedy gold. Gold, Jerry! So I'm excited to see that Sandler is returning to his roots. Specifically his former roommate and current comedy overlord Judd Apatow and frequent SNL collaborator and Triumph the Insult Comic Dog creator Robert Smigel. A script written by Sandler, Apatow and Smigel has got some pretty impressive comedy chops.

All that said, I'm happy to bring you an exclusive first look at a new trailer for YOU DON'T MESS WITH THE ZOHAN. A little birdie, who asked to be called "Little Birdie," dropped this off in my inbox and asked if I'd share with the world. It doesn't look like it's all finished (still marked with "Property of Columbia Pictures") but it does have the MPAA green screen of love beforehand. Whatever it is, watch while you can before the Sony hammer comes crashing down on my head. Enjoy!

But its Adam Sandler!! And of course, Rob Schneider is there to tag along. I was starting to miss those two. I thought the trailer looked funny! It's definitely Adam Sandler, and now after reading AwesomeZara's comments... I'm now stoked to see this!

It's definitely going to be cheesy fun, but thats the best for Sandler. Billy Madsion will always be his best film.

I alwo want to note the awesome appearance by Shelley Berman, (Who plays Zohan's dad in the trailer). He plays Larry David's dad in Curb Your Enthusiasm! Fabulous actor... :)

I didn't laugh, chuckle.smile or grin. It just looks awful and the lowest point in his career. Looks like something Rob Schneider should've done but backed out cuz he thought it looked bad.

I've actually already seen this movie at one of its prescreening text audience things, those ones they do when they're afraid a movie will bomb.

In actuality, this movie is very much like getting back to early Sandler, think HAPPY GILMORE but with an accent.

I was tickled with most of it (Rob needs to find someone else to cling to, however), loved Kazan (who practically makes the movie with how laid back she is about making "the sticky") and while I love Emmanuelle, she's just the pretty distraction. Which, because she looks just so damn smokin' hot in this, you don't mind. (Plus, it's nice to see a non-white blonde girl play the hottie.)

For those wondering how much of Mariah Carey's involvement is in the movie, don't fret. It's mere minutes and it's not painful.

Wow. That was fucking hilarious. I'm glad to see Sandler returning to his comedic roots, but at the same time doing a completely different type of comedy. He's playing a completely different character than he usually does, which is why I think a lot of people get tired of his comedy, they are pretty much all the same character! I'm excited as hell for this now.
