First official poster for Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

A few days ago at SDCC Quentin Tarantino announced plans to film his THE HATEFUL EIGHT in 2015, and the first official poster for the movie (and not the live reading) has already been released online. Well, it first appeared in a magazine (it's a full-page ad from next week's issue of Empire) before surfacing online, but still.

Although the 2015 in the corner is probably referring to the production start date for Quentin Tarantino's new movie, some think THE HATEFUL EIGHT might also be hitting theaters next year as well. Based on what I know about the script for THE HATEFUL EIGHT, it'll be a smaller film than DJANGO UNCHAINED, so there's a chance it could be filmed and then released in the same year.

Still no word on who will be starring alongside Kurt Russell in THE HATEFUL EIGHT, but it's very likely more than a few of the other actors from the live reading will be reprising their roles for the movie. I'm just glad Quentin Tarantino decided to move forward with the western and not let it die just because the script was leaked.

Quentin Tarantino will start filming THE HATEFUL EIGHT sometime in early 2015.
