Frank Darabont wants Thomas Jane for TNT’s L.A. Noir

Give me Thomas Jane anything. I’ll take it. The guy pours his heart into everything he does big or small.

It looks like he might be moving on to another television series. This one from old friend Frank Darabont. As you already know, Darabont is doing a show called L.A. NOIR based on John Buntin’s book L.A. Noir: The Struggle for the Soul of America’s Most Seductive City. This is not to be confused with the 2011 game from Rockstar.

Darabont wants to bring Jane on as Bugsy Siegel. They aren’t sure how big his part would be in the series. The pilot episode stars THE WALKING DEAD’s Jon Bernthal. The actor plays, “Joe Teague, the LAPD cop at the heart of the series that centers on the police force’s pursuit of mobster Mickey Cohen.”

Neal McDonough, Milo Ventimiglia, Jeffrey DeMunn and Andrew Rothenberg are in the cast as well. Simon Pegg guest stars in the pilot.
