Get more Barnabas on this poster for the Tim Burton Expo

02.10.2012by:

Remember the Tim Burton Exhibit that was held at the Museum of Modern Art? Well, now it's traveled to Paris and turned into a mega expo.

What do you get to see if you go? According to La Cinematheque Francaise, this is what is to be discovered:

700 works on exhibit: Drawings, sculptures (including several original works created by Tim Burton for the exhibition), large-format Polaroids made by the artist, accessories, models, costumes and film excerpts (unreleased long and short features).

Associated with the exhibition:

- A Tim Burton retrospective

- Guided tours

- Itineraries

- Get-togethers

- Pedagogical workshops...

- And the exhibition catalogue in collaboration with MoMA, in French.

A poster for the event shows frequent Burton collaborator, Johnny Depp in character for DARK SHADOWS as Barnabas Collins. I'm debating whether I like the poster or not. Love Burton, though I'm not too in love with the look of Barnabas. Also, it gives me a CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY vibe. Do not want.

Check out the poster below.

Tim Burton should retire and just become a crazy cat lady like his wife.

Give it a rest

One article on this site a few months ago seems to have led the lemmings over the psycho cliff, as there is now an avid army of Burton haters out there. I refuse to allow you bitter individuals to rub Burton's and Depp's names through the mud in a blatant character assassination. This movie looks cool, period

I'm sorry but they ran their own names through the mud by making the abominations known as Alice in Wonderland and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I would put Sweeney Todd in that category too but that movie was atleast well made even if it's not my cup of tea. Burton will always have a pass from me cause of his early work. Edward Scissorhands, both Batmans, and Beetlejuice were all classics. But Burton seems to have lost his greatness. The Mad Hatter break dancing was one of the worse

Not that great.

I hope that Chloe Moretz gets her own poster.
