Here’s your first look at Electro in this Comic-Con promo for The Amazing Spider-Man 2

I think my favorite thing about THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 thus far is the comments you guys leave about it. Actually, I was just pointing out the device on Electro’s head mentioning that someone called it “an old school pager”. Thank you for the amusement. I really have nothing against the new franchise. Did I like it more than Sam Raimi‘s first Spidey? If we’re being honest I’m going to say no. But I think there’s plenty to build on, and I can hope that Marc Webb can make his own solid trilogy.

While we’ve seen set photos and stills of Electro (Jamie Foxx) now it’s time to see him in action. Well, sort of… The first footage of the character has dropped in this Comic-Con promo for the Hall H panel. If you are interested in checking the panel out, head to Hall H on Friday, July 19 at 4:05 p.m. His voice is rather low and menacing as he talks about how he cannot be contained. In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
