Is Jessica Chastain back in the mix for Iron Man 3?

IRON MAN 3 may have gained Jessica Chastain. It was rumored that she would be joining early on, but wasn’t sure due to scheduling between a movie with Joel Edgerton and Samantha Morton and Kathryn Bigelow’s next. Now it seems that the scheduling has been worked out so that Chastain can take a role alongside Robert Downey Jr.

Since Shane Black and Drew Pearce are going off of Warren Ellis’ Extremis comic, then it’s highly likely that she is wanted for the role of Dr. Maya Hansen. The character plays a pivotal role regarding the development of the nanotechnology. She is also a former flame of Stark’s.

Marvel took meetings with Diane Kruger, Gemma Arterton and Isla Fisher when Chastain was unsure about her involvement. Fisher is one I could root for as well.
