The less said about that Fall Out Boy debacle of a GHOSTBUSTERS theme song, the better.

However, over in Japan, a different cover has been released, which features four comedians – Tomochika, Oniyakko Tsubaki, Naomi Watanabe and Shizuyo Yamasaki – the upside… it won't make your ears bleed. Small victories, ladies and gentlemen.

The video for the song features the foursome sporting Ghostbusters gear, proton packs and all, and dancing along to the song, which feels much more in line with the Ray Parker Jr. favorite. It's much lighter and a ton more fun than the heavyness of Fall Out Boy's track, which couldn't be more ill-fitting for the franchise unless it was handled by GWAR.

This is an official Sony Pictures Japan release, so I would imagine this take on the theme is what will be released overseas and might be heard over the end credits of the film. Culturally, it's probably more palatable to their audiences… which gives me hope for world peace one day. When it comes down to it, we really aren't so different after all.

GHOSTBUSTERS hits theaters on July 15.
