Well blessed be! Lindsey Lohan has gone and gotten herself a movie job! Linds has signed on to star in the romantic comedy LABOR PAINS. What’s even better isthat it has financing! And a start date! Filming is set to begin Monday for the comedy that stars Lohan as a publishing house assistant who pretends to be pregnant so her nasty boss can’t fire her. Chris Parnell, Cheryl Hines, Luke Kirby and Connie Britton have also signed on to star. Lara Shapiro will make her feature directing debut onthe project. Nu Image/Millennium Films (RAMBO, RIGHTEOUS KILL) are financing the film after Capitol Films, the company behind the NAILED debacle, couldn’t provide the funds. Lohan, seen to the right using flowers like most people use loofahs, said “It is a very different role for me and I look forward to the challenges it will present.” Listen, I love ya Linds but don’t oversell it. It’s a return to what you do best. Goofy in-over-your-head comedies. Who knows if this will be enough to relaunch her career or will simply be another entry on the direct-to-DVD shelf, but it’s a good start. Prior to this she was having trouble just getting and staying IN a film.
Lohan gets a gig!
