The Jungle Book Mowgli Baloo Bill Murray Jon Favreau

There are so many films out there which include a plethora of CGI animals voiced by a star-studded cast that I'm actually a little surprised at how much I'm looking forward to Jon Favreau's THE JUNGLE BOOK. The upcoming feature-film adaptation of Disney's animated classic and Rudyard Kipling's stories is looking quite spectacular in the visual department as well as feeling like it could be quite a lot of fun. With THE JUNGLE BOOK set to be released in just a few weeks, Disney has released a clip from the film in which Mowgli (Neel Sethi) first encounters the lovable and free-spirited bear known as Baloo (Bill Murray).

Check it out!

A synopsis for THE JUNGLE BOOK:

Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voice of Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat. Urged to abandon the only home he’s ever known, Mowgli embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery, guided by panther-turned-stern mentor Bagheera (voice of Ben Kingsley), and the free-spirited bear Baloo (voice of Bill Murray). Along the way, Mowgli encounters jungle creatures who don’t exactly have his best interests at heart, including Kaa (voice of Scarlett Johansson), a python whose seductive voice and gaze hypnotizes the man-cub, and the smooth-talking King Louie (voice of Christopher Walken), who tries to coerce Mowgli into giving up the secret to the elusive and deadly red flower: fire.

THE JUNGLE BOOK is set for an April 15, 2016 release.

The voices don't fit, and the kid is a shitty actor.

This film really does not seem to be hitting the right notes. The voices really don't seem epic enough for the animal characters. Which really makes you appreciate the animated one even more. I think the mistake is that this should have just been live action with no animal chit chat.

Does not look bad over all but will be interesting how they try to sell it. Murray voicing Baloo is pretty cool & funny but get the feeling he's only in a small section of the film. And this looks MUCH more of a serious film than you could sell with nostalgia for the animated version.

OMG that looks bad. The kid can't act for shit and it even sounds like Murray is simply calling it in. This concept has no problems working in animated form but when you make it real, there are too many real problems and leaps of logic that have to be made, can all animals talk? is the kid insane, if he is why is he still alive, why is he wearing a diaper? I mean real questions.
