New I, Frankenstein image goes up in flames

Lionsgate has released a new image from their upcoming flick I, FRANKENSTEIN and it features a pretty badass looking Aaron Eckhart surrounded by flames. Guys, I promise I'm trying to be excited for this one but it just looks too much like UNDERWORLD and I want something new, dammit! That being said, I'll certainly be giving this one a shot just to see Eckhart tear shit up because that tends to be a pretty good time—it doesn't hurt that it will be getting an IMAX release on January 24, 2014 either, so there's that.

Also, the trailer is supposedly going to drop on Friday so if this new pic isn't doing it for you, maybe the trailer will change your mind!

Set in a dystopic present where vigilant gargoyles and ferocious demons rage in a battle for ultimate power, Victor Frankenstein’s creation Adam (Aaron Eckhart) finds himself caught in the middle as both sides race to discover the secret to his immortality.

Directed by Stuart Beattie based on the graphic novel by Kevin Grievoux, the film stars Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy, Yvonne Strahovski, Miranda Otto, Jai Courtney, Socratis Otto, Mahesh Jadu, Caitlin Stasey and Aden Young as Victor Frankenstein.
