I was once a faithful follower of Agents Mulder and Scully's increasingly convoluted conspiracy-loaded casefiles, but I can't seem to get fired up for THE X-FILES: I WANT TO BELIEVE.
Aside from the returning David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, the second X-Feature also starts Billy Connolly, Amanda Peet and de-cornrowed rapper/ride-pimper Xzibit as, unlikely as it may seem, a fellow FBI agent. It is also guaranteed to have at least one scene with jittering flashlights and Scully whisper-shouting "Mulder!"
The movie is thankfully NOT about that snarl of extraterrestrial business that ultimately involved icepicks, sentient oil, bees, alien hybrids and various clones, but it remains a mystery as to exactly what supernatural happenings are in store for the intrepid investigators. Extra Tidbit: Creator Chris Carter's short-lived spinoff THE LONE GUNMEN featured a character named Jimmy Bond.
