Paul Thomas Anderson & Daniel Day-Lewis team-up for new film about dresses

I love Paul Thomas Anderson films, though as a cinephile I know that take is as cold as Mr. Freeze's taint. It's as basic as gushing about Martin Scorsese or Quentin Tarantino or The Coen Brothers. Hell, I might as well be saying I love ice-cream and blowjobs.

So it gives me much delight to announce that Paul Thomas Anderson is teaming up with Focus Features and Annapurna Films to make another film with none other than Daniel-Day Lewis. But what's the film going to be about? That's still mostly a mystery, but here's a synopsis anyway, from the official press release:

Continuing their creative collaboration following 2007’s There Will Be Blood, which earned Mr. Day-Lewis the Best Actor Academy Award, Mr. Anderson will once again explore a distinctive milieu of the 20th century. The new movie is a drama set in the couture world of 1950s London. The story illuminates the life behind the curtain of an uncompromising dressmaker commissioned by royalty and high society.

Honestly, the film could be a film about Daniel-Day Lewis playing a cat mutilator, and I'd still be interested as long as he and Paul Thomas Anderson were involved. So I'm down.

Now, no release date is set as of yet, but you best believe we'll keep you posted once anything comes up.
