Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Those of you who are familiar with the game know all about the leap of faith – when our hero must dive from an insanely tall building to escape his enemies – and now you can see how they brought it to life in the film!
As noted in the featurette, it would be all too easy and expected to just use a digital character to make such a jump. The fact that Damien Walters had the balls to do it gives me mad respect for the man. WARCRAFT didn't exactly change the status quo regarding video games-turned-films, but we'll see what ASSASSIN'S CREED can do come this holiday season. At least we have one really bitchin' jump to look forward to!
