The first poster for Matthew Vaughn's Neil Gaiman-adapted fantasy adventure STARDUST has hit the interwebs and, well, it follows a relatively generic fantasy poster template. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. There's plenty more to like in this film. Like the fact that it centers on a nebbish dreamer who dares to enter the magical land of Faerie in order to retrieve a fallen star (in the form of Claire Danes, no less) for his beloved and finds himself smack dab in the middle of a high-stakes adventure, which, in a rather delicious coinkidink, includes a smoking hot Michelle Pfeiffer. It's good stuff. And it opens August 10th.

I'm seeing this for the cast: DeNiro (nuff said),Pfeiffer (smoking hot MILF), Danes (underrated hottie whose Shopgirl perf got an Oscar snub).

Hmmm...
The trailer isn't that interesting (I'm not a big fan of Claire Danes either) but I'll go see this movie for the sake of Bobby DeNiro.

I'm digging it
As a *major* fan of this book (and Neil Gaiman in general), I'm buzzed about this flick. I only hope it's better than Mirrormask.

DeNiro in a Fantasy flick?
Haven't seen that since Brazil, (unless you count Rocky and Bullwinkle) and he was only in that for mere moments. Might actually make this flick interesting.

Hm, it has a bit of the floating head syndrome, but I actually really like it.
