If you think you have seen an onslaught of news regarding THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY, you haven’t seen anything yet. With the wide release still 8 days away, the new clips and images from the Peter Jackson film will continue to hit the internet regularly.
This clip is very interesting as it features all characters we have seen before from THE LORD OF THE RINGS. Gandalf, Galadriel, Elrond, and Saruman look exactly as they did a decade ago (except Saruman’s beard seems thicker). Here they discuss Smaug and Sauron and why a dragon could be big trouble should the Eye of Mordor return.
Despite some lukewarm reviews, seeing the consistency of Peter Jackson‘s filmmaking between the first trilogy and these new films is nice. The effects look crisper but bringing back all of the old gang makes it feel like these movies were all filmed at the same time. I am very excited to see THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY when it opens on December 14th.
