Tom Hanks is the standing man in 2nd trailer for Spielberg's Bridge of Spies

Steven Spielberg's latest follows an American lawyer (Tom Hanks) who is recruited by the CIA during the Cold War to help rescue a pilot detained in the Soviet Union. Now, let's get real; those two names are enough to bring pretty much anyone to theaters, but the second official trailer for the flick has hit featuring some overly dramatic trailer music and a nice little monologue.

Tom Hanks always gives a genuine performance and when you team him up with Spielberg, you have a must-watch flick on your hands. With that said, this is probably the first collaboration of theirs that I'm the least excited about. It seems pretty by the numbers to me, with the trailer hitting all of the beats of the film, but I'm not about to blame the end result on marketing. If anything, that monologue towards the end of the trailer and the look Hanks gives is enough to sell me on a theatrical viewing.

BRIDGE OF SPIES will hit theaters on October 16, 2015.

I said it before and I will say it again... an average Spielberg movie is a lot better than most movies that are released in Hollywood each year. This still looks just ok but maybe the trailer doesn't do the film true justice.

This has "Oscar" written all over it. SS and T-Hanks, plus a script by the Cohen Bros. That's a must see for me.

Coen* also last year... WW2 Coen Brothers script ended up with a dud with Unbroken dude. Coens usually have to be directing their own material.

I feel that I have to read "Unbroken". I think Jolie didn't capture half of what made that novel special.

Love both SS and Hanks, but this trailer doesn't do anything for me. I still haven't watched War Horse or Lincoln or Tintin for the same reason. I'll get to them eventually.
