I will be the first to admit that I have not yet seen a Tyler Perry movie and I’m pretty sure that I will never see a Tyler Perry movie. But there’s no denying that the screenwriter, actor, director and producer has established himself as one of the most powerful and iconic figures working in American cinema today. His next film is I CAN DO BAD ALL BY MYSELF and it features his beloved character Madea, a matriarchal grandmother figure played by Perry who is in fact a man. I guess Queen Latifah was busy?
