Will The Walking Dead’s Jon Bernthal join the L.A. Noir series?

I could easily spend this entire article discussing the true douchebaggery of Shane Walsh from THE WALKING DEAD (comic vs. series). Unfortunately, that would majorly derail this article and cause me to spit out spoilers.

Jon Bernthal who plays scumbag Shane is being eyed for Frank Darabont’s upcoming L.A. NOIR series on TNT. According to sources, talks have only just begun and there’s no telling if it will actually pan out. This would reunite Bernthal and Darabont if it came to fruition.

If Bernthal if cast then he will take on the role of, “Joe Teague, the Los Angeles cop at the center of the show that examines corruption in the LAPD and ties between police and underworld figures in the 1940s and ’50s.” Darabont wrote the script, which was based on the book by John Buntin, “L.A. Noir: The Struggle for the Soul of America’s Most Seductive City”.

The actor recently wrapped on the action-thriller SNITCH, opposite Dwayne Johnson and Susan Sarandon.
