. . . . . .
This looks like it could be a really interesting artsy film noir type movie or a horrible piece of crap. We shall see. |

HOLY FUCK-MOTHERING CHRIST BATMAN!!!
this looks absolutely god awful. i've been of the opinion that Frank went off the deep end somewhere around Dark Knight Strikes Again, but this is the final proof. the man is lost to us now. |

This looks awful. No film should be shot entirely over a green screen. In my opinion, it never works. |

Okay, i finally caved and watched it..... wow, i really dont like this trailer, or where the movie seems to be headed, at all. and what the hell is Sam Jackson, or any of the characters for that matter, doing. this movie should not be about visual gags and over the top bad-acting-on-purpose humor. it is supposed to have that film noir feel to it with a touch of adventure and crime-drama. This TRULY does feel like Sin City Part Deux |

EVEN WRONGER
Every time something for The Spirit is put out there it looks less like Eisner.
And Miller has a funny idea of what "a full-color movie" is, as he calls this on his blog. |

WHAT GENRE DOES THIS FIT INTO?
Seriously? It plays out more like an erotic thriller than film noir. Shouldn't the trailer be centering on the title character, or the villain, and not the peripheral girls? It feels like the technology of this film was wasted on a plotless Sin City clone. How about a trailer that tells us what the film is about. Isn't that the point of a trailer, to sell us on the film's main premise? I'm less curious about this film than I was before. Now all I feel is disinterest. |
