Two months ago, we got a look at the trailer for the upcoming Valiant Comics adaptation BLOODSHOT, which at the time was heading toward a February 21, 2020 release. That release plan has since changed, as Sony Pictures has announced that BLOODSHOT is now scheduled to reach theatres on March 13, 2020 – a delay of three weeks.
Written by Eric Heisserer and Jeff Wadlow, BLOODSHOT stars Vin Diesel as
Ray Garrison, a soldier recently killed in action and brought back to life as the superhero Bloodshot by the RST corporation. Now filled with an army of nanotechnology in his veins, he's an unstoppable force – stronger than ever and able to heal instantly. But in controlling his body, the company has sway over his mind and memories, too. Now, Ray doesn't know what's real and what's not – but he's on a mission to find out.
The film marks the feature directorial debut of Dave Wilson, who runs the visual effects company Blur Studio with Tim Miller.
In the cast with Diesel are Guy Pearce, Eiza Gonzalez, Toby Kebbell, Sam Heughan, Talulah Riley, Alex Hernandez, and Lamorne Morris.
Although I'm not familiar with the comic book, BLOODSHOT looks entertaining to me, so I will probably check it out sometime.
March 13th used to be the release date for Blumhouse and Universal's reboot of THE INVISIBLE MAN, but that film has moved up to February 28th.
